Hi Dave and Ann, it was a pleasant surprise to see you at the Kent seminar, I thought your presentation said it all and i know others were impressed with your obvious knowledge on the subject of PTSD and its treatment. Good luck with your forthcoming American tour, they need all the help they can get. regards Charles

I feel that this illness is not recognised enough in this day and age. In scotland, where we live I feel as a partner of a sufferer there is nobody to turn to for help. I feel like I am hitting my head off of a brick wall. Its not just the sufferer who suffers my kids and I are also suffering and until I personally spoke to David I would say I felt so alone. You can speak to people about this problem but nobody truely understands what you are going through and I feel it is terrible that I had to turn to someone in Wales for help. David is one in a million and made me realise there is people out there who do really want to help. Thanks again David for the conversation we had and yes there is noone in Scotland like YOU. Keep up the good work!!!!

Thank you for offering this informative web site. The internet has lost it focus on adding usefull web sites that provide information and resources for learning, education, advancement or help. You are filling that gap. Thanks Ed Rufing ceo of the Quit Abuse Society. http://www.quitabuse.org

Thank you Sue for posting up Roadpeace. I have a lot of respect for this fine Organisation. I myself attended many RTA's over the years and have seen first hand the devastation to all on scene, and later when the "bad" news has to be broken to loved one's on their front door. For many years all were left to just get on with the tragedy with no support in place for many. Thankfully, Roadpeace was formed and is an impactive force in the assistance it can offer to all the Survivors of such tragic and unexpected events. For those fearing that members will intrude into their privacy fear not. Each has suffered the loss of a loved one previously, and to that end each will have been through what you are going through now. So what better person to assist you than another who has been there had the anger, pain, hurt, grief and bereavement cycle. Roadpeace has a web site of it's own I add it here for your assistance. A site which may be of help and where others have written about their experiences can be found on the following site: The Car Accident Family Web Site . This is run by Jack Smith. Please also remember the TSC (W) will always be available to assist you also. David Bennett.

Brilliant seminar David, learned much about ex.servicemen's predicaments, a too often neglected area. Tea and biscuits were excellent. All news of future events would be gratefully received. I am now able to offer my clients more assistance in this area. Regards, Charles

Congratulations on your new website David, long overdue. Now perhaps you can take your rightful place at the forefront of assisting sufferers of P.T.S.D. instead of others stealing your thunder. Your assistance to me in the past has been much appreciated.

I am a Falklands war veteran who has suffered from and is suffering from chronic PTSD, due to my condition I had a serious mental breakdown and as a result as was told to write my thoughts and feelings down, the end result two years later was my true story in book form "cloudpuncher" which goes into some depth about a very complex subject, recently I have acheived something with my web site to the book , I got the idea from an American web site where combat soldiers can meet on line and talk to one another about their problems from the safety of their PC'c, so I have placed a similar forum on my site, now ex-serviceman and woman have a place they can go that is specifically for them and once they see how many service people are effected they will realise they are reacting `normally` to extraordinary experinces in their lives. You can find my site at If you know any ex-servicemen or woman that need help please point them there. Thank you for giving me this oportunity to help others, you are all doing an extremely worthwhile job, all the luck in the world to you. Yours sincerly Tony McNally.

Many thanks Tony and Edward for last two entries. Specialists are encouraged each time entries like those are made. Continuing our tasks in assisting OUR fellow colleagues and survivors. My hope is, all will view your site and then assist one another. More importantly those who have been there, worn the 'T' shirt etc, will carry more 'clout' with their colleagues. Thank you all, David Bennett.

David helped me last November when I was going through a difficult time after a particularly bad personal traumatic incident. I can now talk about it, but cannot write about it still. I realise that this will come in time and only when I am ready.
I did not realise just how much PTSD affects people until I was touched by its presence. I know now through personal experience. I also know just how important it is to have this kind of facility David is offering in Wales. As far as I know he is unique in this area.
I found this website by accident and I am so pleased that David now has a website. It means that I can now publicly thank him for the time, expertise and knowledge he used (free of charge) to help me.
Good luck with the Traumatic Stress Centre (Wales). Gratefully yours Vicky G.

Congratulations on getting your long awaited Site up and running. I look forward to being able to work and co-operate with you in the near future and do our best for the traumatised families of PTSD sufferers out there. Especialy the children who become the silent victims of the trauma in the family. Our service is to act as a support to all PTSD sufferers and especially their families, who have tended in the past to be very much a neglected resource in assisting the primary sufferer to be able to recover more quickly and return to a reasonable quaility of life. Good luck for the future.

Having been through a personal trauma myself, and trying to find out as much information as possible, the site I found very useful. The links I also appreciated. Thankfully, I have now found a Centre locally where I may receive help, which was not present previously. Please keep a site like this going, it will help all of us with personal tragedies to help one another. Thank you. Ann.
